Our Wee Farm & Apiary

Welcome to Lorenza’s family farm in New Windsor, Maryland

We Have a Commitment to the Environment

Our families passion for the environment runs deep. Establishing biodiversity throughout the farm by planting crops that promote the integrity of the hives is done with the utmost intention for greater ecology and our farms microsystems.

Stewards of the Land

We Are Stewards of the Land

Gathering with family to maintain the farm is precious. The importance of pausing from the hustle of city life and touring, to prioritize getting back to the land is both grounding and rewarding.

We are Protectors of the Bees

Bees are responsible for nearly one third of all agricultural pollination, regularly flying over six kilometers, gathering pollen from one blossom to the next, spreading the diversification needed for healthy crops. Thank you for supporting our hives and organic agriculture.

Organic Methods

Our seeds are non-GMO, organic and pollinated by our own bees. Our sustainable farming practices include utilizing rain barrels and drip irrigation for water conservation, composting, crop rotation & crop cover to increase soil nutrients and reduce erosion and to ensure high quality produce. No synthetic chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides are used.

We are working toward becoming USDA certified organic, so all of our farming practices match the standard.

 Our Honey

Our award-winning honey is raw and unheated. It’s harvested straight from the hive, placed into the extractor, into the honey bucket, then into the bottle.
